Our Beginnings Back in the 1940's and 50's, it was very difficult for farmers and ranchers to get insurance. So to solve the problem, a couple members of Colorado Farm Bureau got together for a meeting, and decided to create an insurance company. When the meeting was over, they had raised enough money to get started, and by 1950, Colorado Farm Bureau Mutual Casualty Company was established as a sponsorship of Colorado Farm Bureau.
Today, just 60 years later, Farm Bureau Insurance, as it is known today, has grown into a full service provider of insurance products and services. From humble beginnings, we have become a great service and benefit to the great members and supporters of Colorado Farm Bureau, a company dedicated to the mission of protecting the agricultural rights that affect all of Colorado.

There is a Farm Bureau Insurance in almost every state in the country, each independently operated. If we were to combine all the Farm Bureau Insurance companies together, it is believed that we would be the third largest insurance company in the country. This should give you some scope as to how big Farm Bureau Insurance is on a national scale. However, if you're hearing about us for the first time, we welcome you to our company.
